Sharp Zaurus SL-5600 Packages/Patches

Below you'll find packages that have been tweaked or changed in some fashion. They have either been changed to work on the SL-5600 or have just had usability changes applied.

Be sure to read the associated notes and Readme files where present. The original software authors should not be expected to support these packages.

IRK

Note: This has been obsoleted as of IRK 0.10.0, which can be found on Craig's site or here.
An excellent package written by Craig Graham for using various IR keyboards with the Zaurus. As of this writing (04-MAY-2003), only the cool Pocketop keyboard has been tested.

Changes:
The IRDA device has been changed from /dev/ttyS2 to /dev/ttyS1.
The package has been renamed from "irk-zaurus_0.9.2_arm.ipk" to help remove any confusion.

kbdsim
(fbvnc module)
This is a drop-in replacement for the kbdsim.o kernel module found in the fbvnc server (for the SL-5500 and SL-5600) maintained and distributed by SDG Systems.

The kernel module distributed with the SL-5600 version is compiled for the SL-5500 and complains when insmod-ed into the kernel. I don't care too much for the errors, so I've compiled the module for the SL-5600 kernel...

This file must be installed after fbvnc. The fbvnc package must be re-installed to use the original fbvnc module.

Changes:  None.

LIRC The standard LIRC toolset found at LIRC.org for sending/recording IR sequences with the Zaurus.

Changes:
The lirc_sir module has been compiled for the SL-5600.
The package has been named specifically to identify the SL-5600 target machine.

qpeGPS The GPS moving map software for QPE found at qpegps.sourceforge.net (slightly enhanced)*.

Changes:
A scaleRatio option has been added to the sources.txt file to allow for sites which don't use the map scale qpeGPS expects.
The qpeGPS help file has been updated with "ratio" and other changes.
The package has been renamed to identify the ratio ("r") changes.

*Note: Read the associated "Readme" for installation instructions and sources.txt file compatibility.

Qt-Embedded-Rotation This is the Qt/Embedded 0,90,180 rotation fonts "fixed" for the new Sharp Zaurus Rom images. The Zaurus's "normal" orientation is 270-degree rotated.
These fonts are the fonts for other angles.

Changes:
The 0 degree and 180 degree fonts have been swapped.
The package has been renamed from "qt-embedded-rotation_2.3.2-4_arm.ipk" to help remove any confusion.
